Teen Photo Camp - Seattle, WA

Teens Camp (ages 13-18) If your teen is looking for a fun way to spend their summer, this is it! Students wil learn beginner photography with Mirroless cameras that wil be provided to them. Creative techniques will also be introduced to help enhance their skills and imaginations! Students are required to bring their own SD card to each class. Class Schedule: 10-10:30- In class demo 10:30-11- walk to location 11-12:30- shooting on location 12:30-1- lunch 1- 1:30- walk back to classroom 1:30- 2- Printing best shots of the day Monday: Students will be introduced to their cameras and photography basics. After the presentation we will walk to the Space needle to work on composition assignments. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Tuesday: Today we will be going over aperture priority and depth of field. Class will head over to Lake Union. On the way back to class we will introduce bokeh and students will have the chance to try changing the shape of their bokeh in South Lake Union. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Wednesday: Our first introduction to shutter speeds will include an in class demo for stopping action. Students will have a chance to practice this outside the classroom as well. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Thursday: To demonstrate long exposures our class will take place indoors where we will paint with light. We will demonstrate long exposures outdoors with panning and zooming techniques and polarizers. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Friday: For the final day of class we will discuss macro photography and techniques and shoots in class as well as Denny Park. Back in class students will work on their final portfolio and print 2 of their best images; 1 to take home, and 1 to display in Glazer's! Parents will be invited to come see all of the student work at pick up. Instructor, Ashlee Werter is a Professional Photographer living, shooting & teaching in Seattle.
