Calling all campers! Mount Vernon offers two summer camp programs: Colonial Kids for rising third and fourth graders and Camp Washington for rising fifth and sixth graders. Campers discover George Washington's legacy by exploring his estate through archaeology, farming, gardening, music-making, spinning, surveying, and other hands-on activities. Participants also visit the Mansion's basement, make ice cream, learn about the Piscataway Indians who lived here before the Washingtons, and meet some of the heritage breed animals on the estate. The registration fee covers lunches, snacks, backpacks, and a special camp t-shirt. Please Note: there are several sessions ranging from July 10th to Aug. 2nd. Please check our website for specifics.
