Ferrum Equestrian is hosting a summer riding camp catering to riders 14 – 18 years old who are interested in riding in college. The focus of the camp will be on daily riding lessons to improve riding skills with an emphasis on hunt seat equitation along with horsemanship sessions. Participants will be riding at the team’s host facility Healing Strides of VA in Boones Mill, VA. Riders will get a feel of all the wonderful things the riding program has to offer. Riders applying for the camp should be riding at an advance beginner level (WTC) or better. The daily schedule for riders will be 8:30am until 4:00pm Wednesday through Saturday. Saturday the riders will participate in a collegiate scrimmage based on the IHSA format. Parents or Guardians will be responsible for students outside of teaching hours each day.
