Chesapeake Teen Service Week Dates: June 12-16 9am-4pm Cost: $100 This 5 day program for students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade is meant for students with a passion for improving their local environment. Students will earn 25 SSL hours through participation in restoration projects. Highlights include a trip to Poplar Island, creation and planting of oyster reef balls in Harris Creek, and a kayak shoreline clean-up. This community service learning experience is a great boost for college applications. All programs are daytime and based at Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, located at 6129 Tilghman Island Rd. on Tilghman Island, MD. Phillips Wharf staff & interns have passed criminal background checks and are trained in CPR/first-aid, and all have backgrounds in either science or education.
