EquQuest Kid's Riding & Horsemanship Camp! - Georgetown, TX

"Mom, I'm bored!" You'll never hear that if you sign your children up for the first EquQuest Kid's Riding and Horsemanship Camp of the 2017 summer season! Mark your calendars for our early June Kid's Camp, June 7th - 9th, 8 AM -11 AM each day. Suitable for kid's 3-18, they will learn to help catch, groom and tack up the horses (depending on age and experience/confidence level), how to handle one at liberty in the round pen from the ground, and be able to ride in our covered, sandy floored round pen. During the three days they'll get to participate in some fun exercises designed to teach them how to "talk" to the horse, direct it to where they want it to go, and experience what the world feels like from a horse's back. Very young children can attend and participate, as the class is designed to help build their confidence, get them comfortable with the height and motion of the horse, and expose them to new, fun experiences. Older kids will learn horse psychology - meaning why horses do what they do and how to use this to build a relationship and learn to communicate with a non-verbal being through body language and motion.
