Mr. Cherry summer acting camp at Unity of Louisville for ages 8 through 17 beginning July 10th through July 21 2017 Students will study improvisation monologue voice and diction stage makeup Ensemble exercises to strengthen focus and concentration and scene study contemporary and Shakespearean scenes. New this year will be acting for the camera where students will learn to write their own scenes and commercials and film them. Classes will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. All classes will be taught by professional actor Phillip L cherry a 28-year faculty member of the young actors Institute of the youth performing arts school a tenured faculty member of the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts 7 years as Walden theaters education director and acting teacher mr. Cherry has a 30 year relationship with the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival and actors Theatre of Louisville he has performed in many shows regionally and nationally. Mr. Cherry is the camp director for this 2 week program and will be assisted by Karen Edwards Hunter also a former member of the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts faculty.
