Kid's Outdoor Adventure Day Camp! 2018 Spring Break - Lexington, KY

Boone Creek Outdoors is excited to offer our Outdoor Adventure Day Camp for 2018 Spring Break! Kids will learn about outdoor safety, the palisades of Boone Creek and the Kentucky River, as well as participate in several outdoor activities including rappelling, zip lining, fishing basics, hiking, games and more! Campers will build confidence and gain skills for outdoor adventure, becoming more comfortable facing challenges in nature. Teamwork and experiential education will be emphasized. Where: Boone Creek Outdoors - 8291 Old Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY When: Monday - Friday April 2nd-6th Who: Kids Aged 9-13 Itinerary: Monday - "Outdoor Basics" Tuesday - "Ecology Day" Wednesday - "Intro to Rappelling & Zip Lining" Thursday - "Rappell Tour Day" Friday - "Canopy Tour Day" *Each day includes a hike, games, snacks, and end of the day recap. Hosted by Lee & Boone Creek Guides Lee has worked in kid's programming for over 8 years, teaching surfing, soccer and educating about the outdoors. "I enjoy working with kids in the outdoors because it gives them the opportunity to try something they may not do on an ordinary day. Skills that are learned in the outdoors can be translated throughout all aspects of life and I feel nothing beats outdoors experience."
