This six-day summer camp (Monday, July 22nd to Saturday, July 27th) begins with the topic "Leadership 101" and ends with a Five-course meal (Dining like a Diplomat). It's designed for young women (ages 8 - 15) to become fully enriched with knowledge as they learn a wide variety of topics; through discussion, hands-on interaction, roleplay, and laughter. ELII believes when a person (no matter of their age) understands the meaning of Rules of Etiquette they have greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and ultimately gain a great sense of self-confidence; leading to treating others with respect, common courtesies, building relationships, and most of all, cultivating a prosperous and successful future. > July 22nd - Monday (6:00 - 7:30 PM): Leadership 101: Follower vs. Leader (which do you align?) An insight into the Rules of Etiquette 12 Important mannerisms to be a great leader A view of Civility and Empathy outside looking in > July 23rd - Tuesday (6:00 - 7:30 PM): Facilitating 101 - conflict resolution: Listening tricks and tips Basics of dissolving a disagreement 101 The Art of Tact and Diplomacy 101 > July 24th - Wednesday (6:00 - 7:30 PM): Art of Communication: Students will give a 2-min presentation on one of the following topics: My role model is and why? My top three goals in life are and why? Who am I? The presentation topic will be selected by each student during the first meeting (July 22nd) Group discussion on "Thinking before you speak" Perception management (how others see you and how you see yourself) > July 25th - Thursday (6:00 - 7:30 PM): Developing confidence within: Dress for success (what appropriate clothing look's like) Basics on how to apply makeup Seeking self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-confidence Respecting yourself as a woman, demanding respect from others, and "No" means "No" > July 26th - Friday (6:00 - 7:30 PM): ABCs of Table Manners: Receiving line (a lost art) Napkin Etiquette How to eat soup and master use of your soup spoon How to use your fork and knife Initiating a small conversation How to sit like a Young Lady How to drink your beverage with spiling > July 27th - Saturday (1:00 - 3:00 PM): Dine like a diplomate Five-course meal (Dining at Sullivan’s Steakhouse – Keystone at the Crossing) Note: #1) Parents and family members are welcome to dine with their child/sibling for a special price of $45.00 #2) All inclusive; certificate of attendance, five-course meal, material/booklets, fun, knowledge, and kindness learned.
