What are you doing when school’s out this summer? RAMCAMP is offered by the Fresno City College Physical Education Department. Camp co-directors, Pamm Zierfuss-Hubbard and FCC assistant women’s basketball coach, Brenda Frazier, organize this summer camp each year. A wonderful complement of instructors and coaches provide each “camper” with a positive experience in various activities. College students who major in a related field and/or specialize in a sport also provide guidance and assistance to each participant. PurposeThe objective is to provide boys and girls, ages 6–14, with a learning experience in a supervised college atmosphere to improve their skill level. The program also aims to develop sportsmanship, fair play and an increased level of fitness. Program of Activities Each student will receive instruction in a variety of activities. Individuals will be grouped, as much as possible, according to his/her skill and social level, i.e. 6–8 yr., 9–10 yr., 11–14 yr. All activities will be coeducational. The teaching emphasis will be placed on physical skills. At the end of the session, each child will receive a “Certificate of Successful Completion.” Activities are subject to availability of facilities and instructors.
