WTCI will host a “SUMMER LEARNING CELEBRATION” event on Saturday, May 11th. This event is a part of the Remake Learning Days Across America Chattanooga initiative and will invite children and their families from throughout the county to the Tennessee Valley's community PBS station to enjoy free educational resources that encourage summer learning, meet organizations hosting summer learning programs, summer camps and other educationally-based enrichment activities. Education mission-based partners will exhibit at this open house event and share the resources, opportunities and experiences that they offer with guests. Children and families of all ages will enjoy engaging with PBS KIDS mascots and children will have opportunities to enjoy science experiments, iPad/tablet games, storytelling and more. Parents will have the opportunity to sign their children up for free book programs, summer literacy events, summer enrichment programs, school-based Kindergarten readiness programs and other community-based opportunities.
