Capo-Camp is designed to provide children with a safe and engaging outlet for physical, and artistic expression through rigorous and exciting activities. Lead my DC’s own, Instructor “Rasta”, Capo-Camp will expose children to the art of the Brazilian martial art, Capoeira. In doing so, your children will explore: Capo-Fitness drills for building strength and agility Capo-Stretching routines for flexibility and injury reduction Capoeira martial art techniques for building confidence and self esteem Maculele Dance choreography for coordination and body awareness Acrobatics for body mobility Afro-Brazilian Music for rhythmic and community building Intro to Brazilian Portuguese for cultural awareness and vocabulary building Arts-n-Crafts for enhancing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination Material provided by program:• Snacks• Water• Fitness equipment (cones, mats, jump rope, etc)• Martial art equipment (punching/kicking pads)• Musical Instrumentation• Sound system• First aid kits• Transportation to field trips Items provided by homes:• Proper summer/fitness attire (sneakers, shorts, sweat pants, lose pants, t-shirts, tank tops, sweat towel, bathing suits when required)• full lunch with drink (program only provides two snack per day)• Backpack or gym bag• Spare change of clothes• Pocket money for specified field trips.
