Chanco On The James Camp And Conference Center

Chanco is nestled among 125 beautiful wooded acres along the James River in Surry, Virginia and is an accredited summer camp and year-round retreat center. Chanco's summer camp is ACA accredited and offers residential sessions for boys and girls ages 8-18 and out trip sessions for boys and girls ages 12-18. Activities include swimming in the pool and river, a ropes course, tubing, archery, arts & crafts, sailing, zip lines, canoeing & kayaking, skits and games, chaplain program, nature education and more. The conference center provides a peaceful location, waterfront, ropes and nature activities, meeting space, lodging, and full-service accommodations for small and large groups.
