Woodmenlife North Alabama Youth/Senior Camp

Adventures daily. Memories for life. Camp Woodmen offers boys and girls age 8-15 the opportunity to learn new skills, be part of a team and develop as leaders. Since 1947, WoodmenLife has been operating a structured summer camp program for its members, ages 8-15. The North Alabama site is located in Blount County on the Locust Fork River approximately 10 miles north of Oneonta. Campers are afforded the opportunity to participate and enjoy in many programmed activities and facilities like: 270 ft. thrilling Waterslide, Air conditioned cabins, Swimming pool, Cafeteria w/ great food, Fully equipped archery range, Campfire programs, Climbing tower/ropes challenge course, Lake canoeing, Basketball, Softball, Fishing, Beach Volleyball, Orienteering, Hiking and Outdoor Living Skills. In 1959, through the vision of State Manager, Mr. Henry N. Ligon, WOW North Alabama Youth Camp, Inc. was organized as the first Camp WoodmenLife site. Today, several Camp WoodmenLife sites nationwide serve to provide members a quality residential camp facility. WoodmenLife Camp’s are considered among the best in the industry. Striving to continue the traditions Mr. Ligon started. Concern for others by supporting good values and our philosophy remains to strengthen family life, respect for God, country, body and mind. We serve each meal “family style” with voluntary prayer. Campers are afforded the opportunity to participate in many programmed educational activities. Our mission is to promote fun and educational activities which foster the highest possible physical, social, and intellectual development of our campers.
