GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive is a free, application-based program. Please read below to learn about application procedures and eligibility. The GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive provides fifty girls in eighth or ninth grade the opportunity to expand their STEM thinking and skills. For six weeks, students are engaged in hands-on experiences, interesting fieldtrips and conversations with influential women currently in STEM fields. The program’s curriculum focuses on aerospace science, Earth science and engineering, providing a range of study that appeals to different student interests. The program nurtures critical thinking and problem-solving skills, social and emotional development, and parent/guardian involvement and support. Intrepid Museum educators, together with educational institutions and invited guests, give students a new, exciting perspective on STEM and the world around them through off-ship and on-ship workshops and demonstrations. The application process is now open from January to March 2016.
